Jennifer 8. Lee talks on TED about the origin of Chinese-American dishes, pretty cool. For example, fortune cookies are from the Japanese, and obviously many dishes we love aren't even recognized by regular Chinese, but we kinda knew that. Broccoli was never a huge Chinese vegetable.

Creativity: Tim Brown on Ted
Here is an interesting video from Tim Brown via TED. This is really just a test to work out an RSS kink, but it is an interesting video nonetheless. He explores the power of creativity and play, and includes some examples everyone can use to tap into those powers.

How To Survive a Nuclear Attack [TED]
Thanks to the good folks at the TEDBlog for posting this video. According to TED, the "face of nuclear terror has changed since the Cold War, but disaster-medicine expert Irwin Redlener reminds us the threat is still real. He looks at some of history's farcical countermeasures and offers practical advice on how to survive an attack."
Be sure to visit the TEDBlog for this and other great videos. We find they download easily and can be placed on your iPhone for informative time-killing entertainment on the go.

Jean-Luc Godard Meets Woody Allen
OpenCulture posted this interesting video they found from Metafilter... enjoy!
According to OpenCulture, this was "filmed in 1986, 'Meetin’ WA' is a short (26 minute) film that not many have seen. What you get is Godard, one of the driving forces behind La Nouvelle Vague, in conversation with Woody Allen. The trademark Godard approach to film, the expected dose of Woody Allen neuroses - they’re all there. Hat tip to Metafilter for bringing this one to light."
But we keep forgetting --which one made 'Bananas'?
